Reign Of Vengeance: Disemboweling swine
09/08/11 || Lord K Philipson
By just looking at the terribly weak cover and the as weak logo you’d think this will be nothing to write home about. And when you open the booklet and see tough-guy statements such as “Reign Of Vengeance collectively thanks no one” and on another page you see this beanie wearing muthacocksucker in a grim/about to take a dump pose writing a note where it says “It shouldn’t have been found, it shouldn’t have been wrtitten” (sic) beneath it… Wanna prevent that? JUST DON’T FUCKEN WRITE IT! It all seems to be a downhill ride from the get-go, no?
Come surprise.
Reign Of Vengeance actually sound like decent-to-good musicians playing okay half-technical death metal with some impressive lead guitar work. Who fucken expected that?! If you have a need for some generic brutality, these guys will do the job just fine. Then again, you have 44 million other bands who will do the same. Still, thanx for not completely blowing.
5,5/10: As always, looks can be deceiving, though that’s usually not the case.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
